Korn bassist says Joey Jordison was - like a piece of a puzzle that fit right in place -
"He was a fan already and knew all the Korn songs, so when he came in to try out for us he was like, 'I know everything. What do you want to play?' It worked out perfect. It was like a piece of a puzzle that fit right in place."
When asked if Zac Baird affected the new album recording:
"You can hear it. It's changed a lot of the sound. We like it. If we didn't like it we'd just fire him. He has some good ideas that inspire us to actually write songs so that's really cool."

Corey Taylor Tells Fearful SLIPKNOT Fans To 'Grow Up!'
"Nothing's really been written yet, and it's just kind of up in the air right now," Taylor said. "We're definitely going to do at least one more SLIPKNOT album, let's put it that way. But after that, who knows? You get to a point in life where you've said all you can really say with one thing, and I've still got some stuff I want to say with SLIPKNOT. But who knows where I'll be after that. So I want to at least make one more, and then I don't know what's going to happen."
Taylor is well aware of the fact that the band's fans will be summarily bummed if the 'Knot decide to call it a day after reconvening for the recording of — and subsequent touring around — their impending studio offering, to which the singer responded, "Grow up!" Taylor said he would like SLIPKNOT to go out when the time is right and he doesn't want to see the band hanging on past its prime.
"If (the fans) really sat down and thought about what SLIPKNOT is and what SLIPKNOT was, I think it would make sense to them," he said. "Anytime you drive something into the dirt, it's not the same as it was. It doesn't have the same potency, the same meaning. I think any real SLIPKNOT fan would appreciate that. I'm not saying it will be the last album from us — I'm saying it most likely ... I mean, we're at least doing one more. People are very pessimistic, and instead of looking at things in a pragmatic mindset, they go, 'Oh, I can't live.' Please."
Taylor is more certain about Stone Sour's future. "I will always make music with Stone Sour," he said. "Stone Sour will always be here"
To that end, the band's label, Roadrunner Records, plans to reissue Stone Sour's 2006 LP, Come What(ever) May, in expanded form, with loads of unreleased material. Taylor said the special digipak edition of the disc will be in stores this summer and will feature six acoustic tracks that either didn't make the cut the first time around or have been recorded since Come What(ever) May's release — including a cover of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game." The set will also boast two DVDs, which will include all the videos the band shot for the album and a live performance captured in November when the band played before 8,000 people in Moscow.
"Five of the tracks were actually recorded during the original album sessions," Taylor said. "And there's a spoken-word piece I was going to put on the album, but the songs were so strong that we decided, 'Screw it, we can always release it somewhere.' And with 'Wicked Game,' the original is amazing, but the way that we play it, it's not as technical. But at the same time, there's a melancholy about it that's really cool."
Taylor said that he hasn't given much thought to releasing material as a solo artist, but he wouldn't be opposed to it either. "People keep asking me about that, and I don't know," he explained. "It's a little soon to talk about that. If I wanted to, I could ; I have enough songs that I've written on my own. But right now I have two bands (not counting his two cover bands, Audacious P and Dum Fux) ; I don't need a third."

SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor was once left for dead in a dumpster by friends who thought he'd suffered a fatal drug overdose. The rocker was only 15 years old and living in a trailer park near Waterloo, Iowa at the time. He's still shocked his pals didn't take him to a local hospital.
He says, "At a place like that, there are only two things to do, really: you take drugs, and you f##k. Crank (form of methamphetamine) was just starting, and I was a total speed freak and really into coke. I remember waking up one morning in a dumpster. This is all conjecture on my part, because I lost a couple of days, but I think I OD'd at a party.
"Instead of taking me to a hospital, they took me somewhere and dumped me in a trash can, thinking I was dead. So I come to, I've got no shoes on, I've got no T-shirt, I've got blood on my face. I'm 12 miles from my house, and I proceeded to walk from there. The whole way home. I was like, I've gotta get out of here."

Corey Taylor is on the cover of the May 2007 issue of Revolver. The cover kicks ass, hands down.
What's even better is the feature Revolver wrote on Corey, Slipknot, Stone Sour, and his musical partners in crime. There's a lot of new information in there, even to band fans. The issue hits shelves today, so make sure to get a copy.

Drummer Joey Jordison has confirmed rumors that he will sit behind the kit for Korn this summer. "I'm lucky to have had the opportunity to perform with bands that have influenced me as a musician over the years," Joey said. "When I first heard Korn they blew me away and I have been a fan ever since. I'm looking forward to playing drums with these guys for the next five months!"
Joey will go straight from tour bus into the studio to continue work on the new Slipknot CD which will surface in 2008.
